Are you the Judge?

Recently I heard comments of people around me cursing other people to be sent to hell due to their deeds.

I remember a quote from Jesus in one of the Gospels (John 8:7 ): So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said to them, he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

in QS 49:11
Believers, do not let people mock other people who may be better than themselves. Do not let women mock women, who may be better than themselves. Do not find fault with one another, nor abuse one another with nicknames. An evil name is disobedience after belief. Those who do not repent are the harmdoers.

If we measure ourselves to the ten commandments from Moses ( Exodus 20-2-17), we may not pass the test:). For example : stealing. Any one has never done anything non office work at office hour?.
Another example; Honor your father and your mother. How many times we say something to our parents without honor , regardless whether we are right or wrong.

These are just small and subtle things and the list can go on and on!:). My point here if we want to pin point others’ mistake it is very easy as turning our palm:). Or the other Indonesian proverbs: We can see germs on the other island but fail to see the big elephant in front of us:).

In my opinion, we must put all our energy to do our best to improve ourselves rather than judging other people, which will not help us in our endeavor on “returning back safely”, more over that will burden ourselves.

My basis for the thought is as follows: ( Hadith Qudsi 34)
================================================================================================
On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say:
Allah the Almighty said:

O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it.

It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound.

Although if you do not believe in any religions, with your own logic thinking, as long as you believe there is one GREAT Substance that manages the whole universe, I am sure you will agree with me about that Substance’s characteristics as the Creator of all things:The All Compassionate The All Merciful.

Our duty is to improve our selves earnestly with upright intentions and save our energy and efforts by stop judging other people as if we were The Creator of the universe:).

Let the Almighty be the One to judge:
QS 34: 26 :
Our Lord will bring us all together, then, with truth, He will rightly judge between us. He is the Opener, the Knower.

My Sunday’s 2 cents..:)
